aptana is the only one complte solution for webdev ,since you cant code php in dreamweaver,javascript in nusphere , css in zend studio but all this can be done in aptana ,it got more plugin then any other IDE in the world (coz based on Eclipse).

java is not exactly slow as you say… java is fast.. you would experience slowness only at startup. After tat.. you will get normal performance as any other native app..

Yes, It’s a slow starting.
BTW, I use aptana for the library and sample templates, then do the rest in notepad or dreamweaver. It’s just easier just to right-click and open with notepad.

When coding xhtml, css, php, js, ajax on windows i used homesite 5.5 with all features turned off (mainly just used it for tabbed editors & color syntax) but i have since switched over to linux as primary OS and im now using zend studios. Its a very slow program (java), but im really liking the built in php features.

You must be new to programming. Aptana is built on Eclipse. Eclipse uses native widget sets and AWT, so when you say Aptana is slow because it’s built in Java, we’ll that’s just not quite right.

Aptana is fine on a decent machine. It takes a while to load up on winxp for me. On linux(ubuntu), it’s good.
I also like Quanta Plus, it’s a KDE app on linux.
